It's a title which only one storm, by definition, can snag each year: "the first named storm of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season." This year, the winner was Tropical Storm Andrea.
I'm sure by the time you see this post you have already heard of Andrea. Though, I was hoping the reference would be to me, Andrea Morelos, and the launch of my new virtual law office! But nope, for the past several days, the search engines for anything 'Andrea' have all pointed to Andrea the storm.
